CiA exhibits in hall 1, stand 203. The main topic is CAN FD light, which is already internationally standardized in ISO 11898-1:2024. At the CiA booth, Bosch, STMicroelectronics, and Vector showcase CAN FD light demonstrators, illustrating the embedded networking capabilities as well as the current status of CAN FD light. Additionally, you can discuss future application fields of this lightweight implementation of CAN FD with CiA staff and representatives of the aforementioned companies.

Please note that there will also be a presentation about CAN FD light at the Embedded World Conference, which accompanies the trade show.

The Embedded World trade show is an important event for the CAN community—not only regarding lower layers but also to CANopen, the standardized higher-layer protocol for embedded control networks. CANopen FD is another topic on the agenda. With CAN SIC transceivers, bit rates of up to 8 Mbit/s are possible.
