The SIT1043Q features a CAN fault protection from -58 VDC to +58 VDC. The receiver common mode input voltage can reach -30 VDC to +30 VDC, which is suitable for 12- VDC or 24- VDC application systems. The VIO pin allows for interfacing with 3,3‑V and 5‑V CAN micro-controllers. Thus, the chip is powered by multiple power supplies and has multiple system protection and diagnostic functions to improve the stability of the device and CAN, explained the company in its press release. In addition, the product has five working modes: normal mode, silent mode, standby mode, go-to-sleep mode, and sleep mode. It also supports local wake up and remote wake up from the low-power mode.

The provided low-power mode management can save the power of CAN application systems, said the company. SIT1043Q with INH pin function (see photo above) can control the LDO (low-dropout regulator) that supplies power to the system, so that the system can shut down LDO output in sleep mode to achieve the lowest power consumption, the company continued. The product with a junction temperature range of -40 °C to +150 °C is compatible with the ISO 11898-2:2016 standard and comes with a transceiver (TXD) dominant timeout function. Main transceiver usage is dedicated for automotive and transport applications, such as body control, automotive gateways, advanced driver assistance systems, information, entertainment, and battery management systems.
