RP-2 expandable motion controller

Save as PDF

Robox designes and manufactures a family of motion controllers for robots, machine tools, and flexible machines. These controllers are applied in a variety of fields: robotics, paper industry, glass industry, marble industry, wood industry, food industry, packaging, textile industry, fiber-optic handling, printing machines, etc.

The CANopen interface allows communication of these controllers with remote devices.

As a master device they can handle up to 16 nodes:

  • Drives: communication according to the CiA 402 device profile (position, speed, and torque control are available)
  • emote I/Os: communication according to the CiA 301 CANopen specification

As a slave device, the controller can be interfaced using the DeviceNet higher-layer protocol.

The RDE (Robox Development Environment) tool allows the user to configure the network, while the Robox R3 programming language allows to build the desired motion scenarios for gearings and cams.

Remote and on-line debug tools are available as well.
