CiA respects this EU regulation. This means, CiA will send commercial emails offering its services only to those individuals, who have provided permission by email or have registered (double opt-in) on our websites. Normally, we need just the email address for our email services such as the monthly CiA Members News and the monthly CAN Info Mail. The same is with CiA’s Weekly Telegraph providing headlines and brief information about published articles in the CAN Newsletter magazine and its sister publication, the CAN Newsletter Online.

CiA also needs permission to send invitations, meeting minutes, and documents to participants of CiA technical and marketing groups. Of course, CiA member representatives have access to the password-protected CiA internal website, where all this information is available. But if you prefer the more convenient service to get this information by email, we need your permission.

The duty-to-forget is respected as well. This means, CiA office will delete all data of individuals, when the requested service is terminated. This affects our database as well as our email records and any other means of data storing.
