CiA webinars

CiA has scheduled several free of charge one-hour webinars. They provide an overview on specific topics or on CiA developments in general.

CiA webinars are one-hour online events comprising a 45-minute presentation and a 15-minute discussion session. The CiA trainers give an overview on specific CiA profiles (CiA 401, CiA 402, etc.), for example. These specific topic webinars address device developers to get a first impression on a standardized profile. In other webinars, the presenters provide an introduction into CAN FD device and system design, on CANopen FD higher-layer protocols, or on CAN XL lower-layers including its application. Also, these webinars are intended for decision makers and managing development engineers to get a first impression on the provided topic. The complete list of scheduled webinars is here. If you desire other topics, feel free to request them.

Normally, the presentation language is English. CiA also offers some webinars in Chinese and Russian language. CiA trainers perform them, too. All the CiA webinars are technology-oriented. They are not related to products or suppliers. “These free of charge events are not intended for design engineers,” said Holger Zeltwanger, CiA Managing Director. “They do not compete with the CiA seminars applying a charge, which provide knowledge in much more detail.” Normally, such CiA seminars are full-day events. In the next month, they are organized as four-hour online meetings.

For those, who need a tailored agenda can order so-called in-house seminars or webinars.
