CiA editorial guidelines

Preamble

These guidelines apply to editorial contents of CiA publications. This includes the CAN Newsletter magazine and the CAN Community News e-newsletter. The publisher is the CiA e. V.; the publishing house is CiA GmbH.

§1 General mission

  1. The editorial contents of CiA publications inform about CAN-related technology, CAN-related product news, CAN-related specification and standardization activities, CAN-related applications as well as other CAN-related news. This includes technical, product, and marketing intelligence information.
  2. The editorial contents of CiA publications respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations.
§2 Editorial independency

  1. The editorial contents of CiA publications do not express necessarily the views of the CiA e.V. or the CiA GmbH. Nevertheless, every effort is made to achieve total accuracy and correctness of provided facts and information. Opinions are clearly marked as such.
  2. The editor-in-chiefs are responsible according to the Bavarian press law on the editorial contents of the CiA publications mentioned in the preamble. They act independent of the CiA e. V. board of directors (BoD) and independent of the central executive officer (CEO) of the CiA GmbH.
§3 German Press Codex

The editorial contents of CiA publications comply with the Press Codex of the Deutsche Presserat.

§4 CiA house-style

The editorial contents of CiA publications adapt the CiA house-style.
