Join CiA

To get access to the members only area of the CiA web site and to benefit from CiA’s activities, please, fill in the CiA membership application form and send it with legally binding signature to CiA office by mail or by fax (+49-911-92881979).
The benefits of CiA membership are summarized below.

As CiA member you may:

  • Initiate and influence specifications, which will be published by CiA
  • Receive access to most current CiA work drafts and CiA draft standard proposals (even if not participating in the standardization)
  • Be assigned free-of-charge CANopen vendor-IDs
  • Receive exclusive information on new CAN technology and market trends
  • Participate in joint marketing activities
  • Develop partnerships with other CiA members
  • Get credits on CiA events such as the international CAN Conference (iCC), CAN schools, etc.
  • Get credits on some CiA publications
  • Get credits on CANopen product certifications

With your CiA fee, you support:

  • Development of the CAN markets in general
  • Development of specific CAN markets by region, by application, or by higher-layer protocols
  • A company- and product-neutral information platform for manufacturers and users
  • Information exchange between users and manufacturers
  • International standardization of CAN technology
  • Development of CiA specifications and application notes

CiA membership is valid from January 1st until December 31st of each year. It is prolonged automatically if not cancelled in writing by end of the current calendar year!

Companies applying for membership after July 1st pay just 50 % of the membership fee for the calendar year.
