Application-specific devices
Application-specific devices provide either application-specific functions (e.g. collimator for medical devices, or saw for extruder production lines) or comply with dedicated environmental requirements (e.g. seawater-tested or certified for rail vehicles). Normally, they are used in one or several but not in all of the application domains.
Application-specific devices are classified as:
