Dantruck from Denmark, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of forklift trucks and system partner Rexroth, completely revised the 9000 series in regard to mobile hydraulics and electronics. All system components communicate via a CAN network with the control equipment.
“We had actually inquired about prices from various manufacturers about hydraulic components, in order to reduce the manufacturing costs of our 9000 series”, recalls Morten Gregersen, Development Manager with Dantruck. The company supplies three series (7000, 8000 and 9000 series) of forklift trucks for handling loads between four and nine tons.
In discussion with the Danish Rexroth experts, the mobile hydraulic specialists, a completely new approach was suggested. This should reduce the manufacturing costs and attain more flexibility for customized solutions. Along with the application specialists in Germany, the companies worked out requirements, wishes and new ideas. These redesigns were mirrored further in the name for the new model range: 9000 Power. The series was extended by two variations with clear differences in power and functionality. While doing this as many common components as possible were to be used.
