CAN in LED production

Oxford Instruments, a spin-off of the Oxford University, manufactures machines for sophisticated process technologies including micro and nano technologies. The Plasmalab System 133 is suitable for dry etching and deposition applications. It is used for example the production of light-intensive LEDs. The machine for batch processing is based on a controller that provides a CAN interface to link I/O modules. The Ethernet port substituted the previous Arcnet network.
