CiA^® 420 series of documents: CANopen profiles for extruder downstream devices

Together with the members of the Euromap organization, the CAN in Automation (CiA) international users' and manufacturers' group has developed a set of device profiles for extruder downstream machines. These device profiles combined are the application profile. A complete plug-and-play solution for extruder systems was defined rather than just plug and additional optional hardware cabling. Bit-rates, connectors, cabling, and node-IDs are specified as well. Other Euromap specifications may be considered for device design, e.g. for emergency-off-wiring, the wiring of the discrete measuring wheel interface, or the wiring of non-CAN interfaces for saws.
