Power generation and distribution devices
CAN connectable devices for power generation and distribution include sensors and inverters for photovoltaic systems as well as for pitch control in wind power systems. Other devices include battery modules and chargers, but also generator devices, etc.
Some dedicated CANopen profile specifications have been released or are being developed (some of them are available in the download section). These define standardized interfaces for devices that interact in management systems for power generation and distribution:
