CANopen in cross-table for microscopes

Cross tables from the German manufacturer Aviso are used for example in laboratory automation and medical applications for exact positioning of object tables under microscopes. The cross tables, which are able to move in x‑ and y‑direction were developed for the company’s CellCelector precision microscope stage. The stage system is used for imaging, analysis and documentation of solitary cells and colonies. An extended version is also able to harvest. In such applications low weights have to be moved with high precision. Thus, compact design and economical construction were important on development of the stage system.
